23rd International Symposium on Correlation, Polarization and Ionization in Atomic and Molecular Collisions (COPIAMC 2025)

Welcome to COPIAMC 2025 (August 7-9, 2025)

The 23rd International Symposium on Correlation, Polarization and Ionization in Atomic and Molecular Collisions (COPIAMC 2025) is an official satellite meeting of the 34th International Conference on Photonic, Electronic, and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC 2025).

COPIAMC 2025 will be held on the Minami-Osawa campus, Tokyo Metropolitan University in Hachioji-shi, Tokyo, Japan and will run over two and a half days, from the 7th to the 9th of August, 2025. It will comprise both invited talks and a poster session.

Scope

The COPIAMC satellite provides the opportunity to attend high-level specialized talks covering a broad range of hot topics in atomic and molecular physics. Among others, the following areas of research will be discussed:

  • Many-body interactions and electron-electron correlation effects in single and multiple ionization processes.
  • Alignment and polarization effects in excitation and charge transfer processes.
  • Correlation and polarization effects in multiphoton ionization of atoms and molecules.
  • Correlations and coherence in the interaction of intense and short-pulsed radiation with gas-phase species.
  • Correlated motion in photodissociation processes.
  • Coherence effects in multielectron excitation.
